Project Overview
The Spice Box explores the intersection of tradition and modernity by reviving historical spice preparation techniques through a thoughtfully designed kit. It brings together traditional tools, curated whole spices, and storytelling elements to highlight the cultural significance of spice-making across different cuisines. Marketed towards Gen-Z, it hopes to be youthful, vibrant and fun.
I grew up enjoying meals seasoned with spices and made with love. While spices are often closely tied to India, I didn’t want to limit the box’s visual identity or flavour palette to just Indian culture.
Making packaging that can be bold, vibrant…and one that "pops"

Keeping up with the Traditions: Mortar & Pestle
As the key customer target age was in their 30's and 40's, the assumption was minimum interaction with previous LLM models for customer service. So, we needed to understand what the user goes through from the beginning of facing an issue, to the final interaction with the bot. This was done to understand where the onboarding process could fit in the journey. The opportunity was presented between the choosing the service and the chat window. We decided this was the key area to convey information about the bot, how to use it right and establish the right amount of trust.

The details, and technicalities - The Brand Identity
The brand identity was decided by keeping three key words in mind - Bold, Vibrant and Rule-breaking. This project was a passion project which allowed me to go outside the bounds of grids, rules and rigidity.

And thats all…
This project showed me how I can embrace my culture and bring it into the modern principles I know. A lot of rule-breaking and vibrant colours allowed me to design this project.
