Project Overview
Underground is a personal project for a mobile application designed for a fictional post-rebellion dystopian world, where citizens lack access to essential resources and are part of an underground resistance group. The purpose of the app was to function as a relief resource for these individuals.

Project Overview
Rangrez is a typeface developed for the exhibit “Type Okay Please.”Inspired by the hand-painted typography found on Indian trucks, Rangrez is a digital typeface that preserves the distinctive three-dimensional feel of its origins. Designed for 2 scripts - Latin & Devanagri

Design Decisions
While creating the mid-fidelity wireframes I didn’t take into consideration any UI aesthetics and only focussed on the accessibility of buttons. By doing this I ended up with screens that ended up looking a lot like a settings page. The buttons ended up being too large and the overall page didn't have the required information. I also changed how I wanted the app to appear, and went from a utilities + robotic feel to a more clean and minimal approach while designing further.

Hi-fidelity Wireframes
After getting a good understanding of the flow, and the placement of screens I started diving into the high fidelity UI. I wanted to go with a clean look with large accessible buttons and information. Choosing dark mode was an experience design decision, as I had to think about the apps prevalence and usage in the particular situation the users would be in. Dark mode would help in readability in low lit areas, as well as preserve battery. I designed a style guide to follow for the same.

And that's all...
Underground allowed me to test my ability to design not just for usability but for real-world problem-solving. Through this project, I refined my skills in user research, visual design, and creating systems that prioritize user safety and functionality. The solutions implemented were tailored for a unique and high-pressure environment, allowing me to demonstrate my capacity to tackle complex UX challenges creatively and effectively.
